On Tuesday, 22 September, Porsche Centre Brisbane brought the Porsche community together at Howard Smith Wharves for a special evening celebrating 75 years of Porsche in Australia.
The event showcased four bespoke Porsche models inspired by Australia’s North, South, East and West: the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid “Go North”, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo “Go East”, Macan 4S “Go South” and Cayenne S “Go West”. Each vehicle captures the character of its respective Australian landscape, brought to life through unique Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur details and Sonderwunsch personalisation.
The evening also marked the local unveiling of the 911 Turbo S “Land Down Under”, a one-off Sonderwunsch Commission created to celebrate 75 years of Porsche in Australia. Developed over more than two years in collaboration with Porsche Cars Australia, Porsche Sonderwunsch, Style Porsche and Australian artist Werner Bronkhorst, the car features bespoke Chromaflair paintwork, handcrafted Australian details and a Southern Hemisphere night-sky map. Together, these elements pay tribute to Porsche’s arrival in Australia in 1951.
Adding to the occasion, Penfolds who is also celebrating 75 years featured throughout the evening, bringing together two Australian icons united by heritage, craftsmanship and passion.
